Back in the Fall of 1976 Clay was my roommate at UCLA for one quarter. I had found this cool apartment only a block from the school. Best part of it was that a young and beautiful Cybil Sheppard lived across the street from us. We saw her driving away a lot. I left UCLA after the first quarter to go to a film school in New York. Clay was disappointed but found a replacement for the apartment share. Clay was pretty cool but a serious person in those days.  I ran into Clay at one of our high school reunions many years later, but Clay didn't remember me. It's funny, I think I remember most all of the people I have encountered in my life. But I am sad Clay is gone.  Prayers and best wishes to his family and close friends.
