Oh ya, Richard could kick that ball all the way to the classrooms. We use to fish together at Huntington Lake.

I miss him,

I remember running to the equipment shed to be first in line to get the best ball...

I first met Richard in kindergarten at Powers Elementary, he was always the kid looking for ways to have fun!

When we had to take naps in class on our mats on the floor, Richard would sneak around, crawling from mat to mat to check on anyone who might really be sleeping! I would act like I was in deep sleep and he would whisper, "I know you're not really sleeping", I would squeeze my eyes tightly together and he would pull my eyelids open! 👀! He was fun as a child to grow up with and then followed in Steves footsteps as an athlete and in spite of all obstacles became loved and adored by many for his personality and down to earth heart. He rests with loved ones now. He was a good, kind man and friend to all who knew him. heart Titia

Richard was my neighbor and best friend from age 3-5. We had tons of fun. Once in an open lot near our homes I think it was his brother Steve purposely knocked off a bee hive on a tree. We all ran like heck as there was a swarm of bees heading our way!

Richard Kaia… – Yep – “Team” Monopoly – When we were Eight (8), I had a sleep-over with Richard, Scott & Brad Jacobs.  We played  “Team Monopoly” –  Guess who thought of that?   Very advanced, a business practice still used today I think.   Always won at flag-football too --because we made the rules up as we went along…..    So great being Eight.   --- He was a good soul.   My first all-nighter.
